Armyankovtsi is a small village 6 km east of Tryavna. Through it passes a secondary road to Voneshta voda and the main road to the SPA resort, which is much longer, is just 2 km away from the village. It is located in a mountainous area with an average altitude of 500 to 700 meters. The nature here is amazing and offers spectacular views and experiences. The area is suitable for hiking on marked routes, which lead to many local attractions, beautiful localities in the mountains and nice places for picnics and recreation. Armyankovtsi, however, is much more popular among the fans of mountain biking, because there are several well-marked routes for cycling tours. The vicinity of Tryavna makes the village an excellent alternative for accommodation of those, wishing to visit the pretty town, but at the same time to enjoy the divine scenery around. That is why in the past years more and more hotels in Armyankovtsi appear, represented by holiday villas and family guest houses that offer comfort and hospitality at affordable prices. The hotels in the nearby villages of Bardeni (3 km), Oshani (3 km), Voneshta voda (6 km) and others are a good alternative to the accommodation in Armyankovtsi. The central location of the village in the municipality of Tryavna makes it a convenient starting point for visiting the SPA resort Voneshta voda, the Hainboaz pass, the Dryanovski and Kilifarevski monastery. Those wishing to make one day trips in the region, can visit the attractions of Gabrovo, Etara, the Sokolovski Monastery, Veliko Tarnovo, Arbanassi, the Kapinovo Monastery and many other places of interest, related to the rich history, unique cultural and historical heritage and the beautiful scenery of this region. The history of Armyankovtsi is shrouded in vagueness. But one of the interesting facts, related to the village, is that it is the birthplace of the mother of the famous Bulgarian construction master - Kolio Ficheto. Later, the master himself, already being 24, began working as an apprentice to his relative Stanyu Marangozina of Armyankovtsi in his workshop in Tarnovo.
